What do state pension rises mean for pension planning?

The Times reports: “Under-60s will need to save an additional £84,000 to avoid working a decade longer than anticipated if the government raises the state pension age to 75 by 2035, according to Royal London, a mutual insurer.

The Centre for Social Justice, a think tank chaired by Iain Duncan Smith, has proposed that the state pension age should rise to 70 by 2028 and 75 by 2035.” Read more
